[ Peptide care, made clear. ](/)

Clear questions. Room to think.

## Keep a note

Before choosing a program, put these answers on paper.

What is the medicine?

Who will assess me?

What will I pay?

Who answers later?

A vague answer is a reason to ask again.

The care inside an online program

U.S. care · September 2026.

# Peptide program online: start with the right questions.

Online care is a way to discuss a health concern from home. Compare the medicine, the visit, and the whole bill.

Look at the parts, then the program.

## Peptide is a description, not a care plan

A peptide is a small chain of joined parts, like beads on a string. These same parts also make proteins.

Calling a medicine a peptide does not name the illness it treats.

As of September 2026, U.S. rules distinguish approved drugs, custom-made medicines, and products sold with a research label.

[ Note A ](#note-a)

## Start by asking which kind of product it is

### An approved drug

In the U.S., reviewing medicines for particular uses is the role of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

For specific uses, semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) had FDA approval as of September 2026.

[ Note B ](#note-b)

### A made-to-order medicine

Compounding means a pharmacist, a professional who prepares medicines, or a doctor makes a medicine for a patient’s needs.

As of September 2026, compounded drugs lacked FDA approval.

These drugs reach patients without a prior FDA review of their quality, their safety, or whether they work.

[ Note A ](#note-a)

### A research label

In advice checked in September 2026, FDA warns people to avoid weight-loss products sold to people under a research label.
